De locatieDe Paardenbasis is gevestigd in Achtmaal in het zuiden van Nederland, juist tegen de Belgische grens. Het trainingscentrum beslaat een oppervlak van ruim 1 hectare en is gelegen in een bosrijke omgeving in het landelijk gebied van West-Brabant. Het terrein ligt aan de rand van het dorp, aangrenzend aan het woonhuis en heeft een eigen opgang naar verschillende weidepercelen en alle benodigde voorzieningen voor de outdoor trainingen.
Theorielokaal In 2014 is een nieuw theorielokaal ingericht, aangrenzend aan het woonhuis. Het is een gezellig ruimte voor 8 deelnemers met beschikking over een white-board en laptop met beamer. Er is een keukentje met stromend water, koffiezetter, waterkoker en koelkast. En een toilet waar deelnemers gebruik van kunnen maken. Stallen en zadelkamer Naast het woonhuis staat een stal met daarin 4 buitenboxen. Er is 1 afsluitbare box speciaal voor paarden die moeite hebben met sociaal contact. De rest van de boxen zijn voorzien van tussenwanden met traliewerk. De bodembedekking bestaat uit vlas- of hennepstro, wat ruimschoots op voorraad is. Ook hooi staat de paarden onbeperkt ter beschikking. Alleen voor krachtvoer dienen de deelnemers zelf zorg te dragen. Uiteraard zijn de boxen voorzien van automatische drinkbakken. Buiten de stal is de poets- en spuitplaats. En voor het harnachement is een zadelkamer in huis ingericht. Graspaddocks Bij de boxen horen 4 graspaddocks, zodat de paarden hun dagelijkse weidegang niet hoeven te ontberen. De paddocks zijn met schriklint op 1.80 meter afgezet. Buitenpiste en Freestyle loswerkring De verlichte buitenbak van 20 x 40 meter is voorzien van een omheining en een slipvaste bodem. Naast deze buitenbak ligt een 'Freestyle-loswerkbak' van 14 x 14 meter met een slipvaste bodem en een houten hekwerk van 1.80 meter hoogte. Parkeren Zowel voor auto's zonder trailers als voor vrachtauto's of auto's met trailers is er een parkeergelegenheid op het perceel. Achter de buitenpiste bevindt zich een verharde parkeerplaats, direct toegankelijk via een eigen opgang. Voor de navigatie is het makkelijk te vinden op ‘van Lanschotstraat 2b, Achtmaal’. Dat is het adres van onze buren, dus let goed op dat je onze parkeerplaats met poort niet voorbij rijdt… Overnachtingsmogelijkheden Voor deelnemers aan meerdaagse cursussen zijn er in de nabije omgeving verschillende mogelijkheden om te overnachten. VVV Zundert heeft een prachtige website waar overzichtelijk de mogelijkheden op een rijtje zijn gezet. Route Om met hulp van de navigator op onze parkeerplaats te komen, voer dan het volgende adres in; Van Lanschotstraat 2b, Achtmaal. Je rijdt uiteindelijk een doodlopende straat in richting Van Lanschotstraat 2b (= juiste adres om in de navigator in te voeren). LocationDe Paardenbasis is located in Achtmaal in the south of the Netherlands, just near the Belgian border. The training center covers an area of over 1 hectare and is located in a forest area in the rural area of West Brabant. The site is located on the edge of the village, adjacent to the house and has its own entrance to various meadow plots and all necessary facilities for outdoor training.
Theory room In 2014 a new theory room was set up, adjacent to the house. It is a cozy room for 8 participants with access to a white board and laptop with beamer. There is a kitchenette with running water, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. And a toilet that participants can use. Stables and tack room Next to the house is a stable with 4 boxes. There is 1 lockable box especially for horses that have difficulty with social contact. The rest of the boxes have walls with bars. The ground cover consists of flax or hemp straw, which is ample in stock. There is also unlimited hay available to the horses. Only for feed must the participants themselves provide. The boxes are of course equipped with automatic drinking troughs. The hayloft is located above the boxes. Outside the stable is the cleaning and spraying area. And for the harness a tack room has been set up in the house. Grass paddocks The boxes come with 4 grass paddocks, so that the horses do not have to do without their daily pasture. The paddocks are fenced off at 1.80 meters with electric fence tape. Outdoor track and Freestyle loose work ring The illuminated 20 x 40 meter outdoor arena has a fence and a non-slip bottom. Next to this outdoor container is a 'Freestyle loose work container' of 14 x 14 meters with a non-slip bottom and a wooden fence of 1.80 meters high. Parking There is parking on the plot for cars without trailers as well as for trucks or cars with trailers. Behind the outdoor track is a paved parking lot, directly accessible via a private entrance. For navigation it is easy to find at "van Lanschotstraat 2b, Achtmaal". That is the address of our neighbors, so make sure you do not pass our parking lot with gate ... Overnight accommodations For participants of multi-day courses, there are various options to stay overnight in the vicinity. VVV Zundert has a beautiful website where the options are clearly listed.
